Ed Poole, along with his wife Sue, started collecting movie posters in the mid 1970's and soon opened a store. They were amazed at the deceptive practices of some dealers and the lack of research material to help authenicate. After over 25 years of personally handling countless thousands of posters and keeping reference notes they started sharing their knowledge by publishing, what is considered the "first reference book" on the hobby. In 2000 they closed their store. This led to their creation LearnAboutMoviePosters.com better known to collectors the world over as LAMP.
